Cloud Watchers
This is a short story I wrote in November of 2005 about a journalist. It’s “supposed” to be set in the not too distant future (hey, 2010 seemed awhile off in 2005.)
The basic idea is that America goes through a pretty bad economic downturn sometime before 2010. During this time there is a man named Damian who creates a society geared towards helping those less fortunate.
This society has supposedly died down by 2010 when the economy starts making it’s way back up. However there are several secrets about it that the protagonist is trying to undercover.
