The expected audience of this article is Seventh-Day Adventists, but I believe any Christian can gain value from it.

The 1888 General Conference was an important one in SDA history. The fundamental concepts of this article deal with the principles of faith, the nature of mankind, the nature of Christ, and how we should expect to live before going to heaven.

There is something more to being born again than just a change in attitude or a new mindset. If we carefully examine what the Bible has to say about this process, we can see how the idea of the new birth depicts how God gives us victory from sin through Jesus.

I think too many Christians call themselves “born-again” without really realizing what all this entails. Anyone who says they are born again cannot in the same breath keep on making excuses for their failures and shortcomings.

This article is closely related to the article I have written on righteousness by faith and the 1888 SDA general conference.

This is a short story I wrote in November of 2005 about a journalist. It’s “supposed” to be set in the not too distant future (hey, 2010 seemed awhile off in 2005.)

The basic idea is that America goes through a pretty bad economic downturn sometime before 2010. During this time there is a man named Damian who creates a society geared towards helping those less fortunate.

This society has supposedly died down by 2010 when the economy starts making it’s way back up. However there are several secrets about it that the protagonist is trying to undercover.
